Trust & verification
See what a buyer sees
Anyone holding a GemcertX certificate can scan its QR code, or enter the certificate number and weight on the lab's Verify page. No account, no app.
Interactive demo — sample certificates
Point your camera at the QR code on a certificate — or at a sample below.
Two ways to verify
QR scan or certificate number and weight
- Scan the QR code on the certificate or ID card with any phone camera. It opens the lab's Verify page with the result — nothing to type.
- No QR code to hand? On the lab's Verify page, type the certificate number and the stone's weight. Both must match.
- A green Genuine certificate panel shows the stone's details and photo. A red Withdrawn — not valid panel means the lab no longer stands behind it.
Checking a real certificate? Its QR code opens the issuing lab's own Verify page — GemcertX is installed for each lab on its own web address.

Privacy by design
What a buyer sees — and what stays private
Shown on the Verify page
- Report number and issue date
- Stone details from the certificate
- The stone's photo
- Whether it is genuine or withdrawn
Never shown
- Customer names
- Prices
- Staff-only withdrawal reasons
Withdraw a certificate
If a stone is later found treated or a forged copy circulates, the verify page shows "Withdrawn — not valid". It can be reinstated later.
Ownership transfer
When a stone is sold, the certificate moves to the new owner with a full ownership history.
